Today, we shine the spotlight on the wonderful Shae Swasbrook Murray – a cherished member of our Lullaby Club family who is frequently featured across our socials, community and website for over a year now.
Through candid conversations and heartfelt reflections, we'll dive deep into the world of fashion, motherhood, and personal empowerment, guided by the wisdom and grace of Shae herself.
Tell us a little bit about you and what makes Shae, Shae.
Well, I’m a mother of two little babes, a wife and just a gal who loves her clothes and wanted to create a platform online where other women like myself could see themselves represented.
Rewind a few years back, I was super self conscious and would have never envisioned my life taking this path. It wasn’t until a couple of years ago I had some unexpected changes in my life i realised life is too short to not go after what you love. And with that, here I am.

Your journey to becoming a signed model with Everi Body has been so amazing to watch. Can you share with us some of the highlights and challenges you've experienced along the way?
Thank you! It’s been an incredible journey so far and one I’m super proud of. It’s honestly such a dream to be represented by Everi. The highlights are definitely the amazing brands I get to work with and the beautiful friendships I’ve made. So many pinch me moments. The industry still has a long way to go in terms of plus size representation and feeling like you’re being taken seriously. Sometimes self doubt will creep in, it’s a work in progress.
As a mum of two from the Sunshine Coast, how do you balance the demands of motherhood with your flourishing modeling career? Any tips for other mums aspiring to pursue their dreams while raising a family?
It’s a juggle that’s for sure! A lot of the time I’m absolutely winging it and there’s no real method. But I do believe in setting your limits and don’t feel like you have to say yes to everything! Set your own pace! Choose an agent who understands your values.
At the end of the day, I’m always going to be a mum first.

In a time where inclusivity is dire you create such a wonderful, inclusive space online yourself. What does inclusivity mean to you?
One of the main reasons I joined Everi is in the motto itself, “Our Beauty Is In Our Differences” and it's a statement I feel constantly about. As a mother of a little girl and boy I think it’s so important to set a positive example for how we treat ALL people of all shapes and sizes.
The whole reason why I started posting myself online was so other women could see themselves represented. It’s all well and good stocking the size but if you can’t back it up with showcasing the model, what’s the point? Props to TLC here…

And of course, last but not least. Which piece from TLC is your favourite and why?
This is a hard one to narrow down but I’m going to have to say the Avalon maxi!!! Give me any print in this style and I’ll be obsessed. It’s giving comfortable but fabulous.
