For our Asteria Drop 2 campaign we were lucky enough to shoot in Canggu, Bali at the stunning Casa Viamo. We booked two gorgeous models, Sunny (@sunnybunnysweetlikehoney) and Mel (@veltramel), and we were lucky enough to sit down with Sunny to chat about all things her!

As it’s your first time shooting with TLC, tell us a bit about yourself and how you got into modelling.

I’ve struggled with my relationship with my body for a long time so when I decided to start modelling it was with a clear intention to heal that relationship. It’s been a very confronting and beautiful process that has empowered me in so many ways.

I also feel passionate about representing different body types and embodying what it means to embrace my insecurities and lovingly share myself with the world in hopes that others feel inspired to do the same. 

What is your star sign?

Cancer sun, Capricorn moon, Taurus rising.

You radiate such a positive and beautiful energy! Do you have any life mottos you would be willing to share?

Hmm some of my favourites are ‘the most sacred thing in life is what is’, ‘our deepest pain is our greatest purpose’, and ‘let go, let God’.

Where did you grow up and where do you currently reside?

I was born in Tokyo, Japan and moved around a lot as a child (Italy, Africa, Switzerland). When me and my family moved to America we first settled in Atlanta, Georgia but I grew up mostly between Los Angeles and New York. Almost two years ago I decided to move from LA to Bali and I’ve been here ever since.

Do you have any hidden talents?

Many people know that I’m a musician (singer/songwriter and instrumentalist) but not many people know that I’m a pretty fire rapper haha. I also love to play with flow toys (poi is my favourite), do spoken word poetry, and am lowkey a comedian haha. 

It seems like you love to travel! What do you love most about traveling?

There is such a beautiful world out there with so many incredible souls to meet, food to eat and things to experience. I feel blessed to be able to have this beautiful Earth as my playground and am devoted to utilising my time here to create beauty and joy wherever I go.

Fave snack?

I’m literally obsessed with tomato juice - virgin bloody mary’s are my favourite thing in the world. It’s not technically a snack but also kinda is because even though its a drink its basically food haha.

You have such a beautiful complexion - do you have any skincare tips?

Thank you! To be honest, I really don’t do much. I’m very lucky to have naturally clear skin but I do like to use all natural, ethically made cleansers, toners, serums and moisturisers.

 What was your favourite piece from Asteria Drop 2?

I’m obsessed with all the pants! It’s so nice to have pieces in my wardrobe that I can dress up or dress down depending on my mood.
